A Bit About Eliza
Eliza Skenandore is an Oneida artist and cultural advocate specializing in raised beadwork and community-based cultural education. Her work bridges traditional knowledge and contemporary practice through workshops, presentations, and original artwork.
With a background in museum, archival, and library work, Eliza brings a research-informed and community-centered approach to her practice. She is committed to intergenerational cultural transmission, mentoring emerging artists, and creating accessible learning opportunities grounded in Oneida teachings.
Through her work, Eliza challenges stereotypes and creates space for authentic Indigenous voices, stories, and ways of knowing.
